That Asian Teenager Girl In School
I recently watched two shows, one film and one tv series, both about an Asian girl trying to navigate already-complicated teenage life plus fighting/coping with their identities, To All the Boys I've Loved Before (movie sequels) and Never Have I Ever (series).
The resemblance of these two shows's posters is just fantastic. #lol
Both shows were driven by minority background women creatives. Their wonderful storytelling skills bring their bitter-sweet growing-up experiences to the audience who may resonate or learn about that group of girls who at times could be a little invisible among a group.
The success of both shows on Netflix reflects a more diverse audience.
